Mashed Kohlrabi


1 large winter kohlrabi

salt, pepper, nutmeg and butter


Peel the kohlrabi and cut up into cubes 1"x1".  Place in steamer and steam cook until tender.  Mash as you would potatoes.  Season to taste with salt, pepper, nutmeg and butter.  Go easy on the nutmeg, a little goes a long way.
